What’s My Story?

I’m Kristin, a strategist, writer, search nerd, and lifelong believer that the best work starts with understanding people. My story has taken me from my roots in the Southeast to Southeast Asia, the Pacific Northwest, and eventually back home to North Carolina.

Early in my career, I helped people find and tell their stories. Today, I help brands figure out what they should say, where they need to show up, and how to connect with the people looking for them.

I’m a content, SEO & AI search strategist, and still kind of a nerd.

My work sits at the intersection of content, search, data, and user behavior. I develop content and search strategies, dig into performance data, research how people are searching, solve technical SEO problems, and turn all of it into useful, engaging experiences for real people.

And increasingly, search doesn't just mean Google.

As AI changes how people discover and evaluate information, I’ve become especially interested in the intersection of traditional SEO and AI search. I work with structured data, content architecture, technical SEO, and AI visibility to understand not only how brands get found, but how they become trusted sources worth citing.

The technology keeps changing. The part I love hasn't: figuring out how people look for information and creating better ways to connect them with it.

My background spans creative and technical writing, digital marketing, SEO, content strategy, analytics, and education. That mix has taught me to look at problems from more than one angle, translate complexity into something useful, and collaborate across teams to turn ideas into action.

I’m endlessly curious and happiest when I’m learning something new. Outside of work, you'll usually find me in a hammock with a book, playing a board game, exploring art and music, planning my next trip, or taking a long walk with my husband, Phil, and pup, Duglas.
